Coffee & Convos Edmonton Moms Group

Join our free drop-in moms group at The Fourth!

Tuesday afternoon 1:00PM to 2:30PM
Wednesday morning 10:00AM to 11:30AM

Enjoy a free cup of Nespresso coffee, meet new friends and chat about motherhood. We'll be bringing in guest speakers and learning about important topics related to motherhood and maternal mental health.

As of March 2025, we are no longer running the Saturday moms group.

Bring your littles with you! There will be a LEGO table and sensory bins by Learn With Dom Kits for kids to play with.

This is a free event and no rsvp is needed! 

Photos, videos and audio recordings may be taken during moms group and are shared online on our social media and website. See our FAQ for more details.

Please note, due to illness or personal reasons there may be last minute changes in guest speakers or topics. We try to update our website and Instagram as often as possible.

Apr 8: Pelvic Health

Sidney Wideman, Physical therapist with In Home Physical Therapy Solutions and Bloom Therapy

Join Sidney as she chats about women's pelvic health. She'll discuss postpartum pelvic health and rehabilitation. Her talk will also go into detail about incontinence, pain, and prolapse.

Apr 15: Mental Health

Sherani Sivakumar, Registered Provisional Psychologist with Pine Integrated Health

Let's talk about all things mental health in your perinatal journey! Sherani will talk about indicators of mental health, PMADS, identity shifts, how to cope, and the importance of self-compassion and building your supportive community.

Apr 22: Cost of Clutter

Pam Gilbert, Owner with Tidy Matters Professional Organizing

The hidden cost of clutter. Come and learn from Pam how an organized home can save you time, money, and stress! The presentation will include tips on decluttering and organizing.

Apr 29: Postpartum Recovery 

Jenna Kolesar, Postpartum Doula with Nourish & Nurture

Come and learn about holistic postpartum recovery with Jenna. She will be talking about using nutrition and herbs to support postpartum wellness.

May 6: Play Therapy

Samantha Dover, Registered Psychologist and owner of Dover Psychology and Consulting Ltd.

This session is designed to talk to mothers about play therapy, how it works, and what we can expect from children who take part. Participants will leave with better insights into childhood development, attachment, and how to support struggling littles.

May 13: Language Enrichment

Kate Farr, Speech Language Pathologist with Speech with Miss Kate

Language enrichment for littles, without screens, and without adding more tasks to your day!

May 20: Read Talk Play

Karna Antoniw, Youth Services Librarian with Edmonton Public Library

Edmonton Public Library has something for everyone, especially for babies and new parents! Learn ways to use fun songs and rhymes to support language and literacy development. Discover EPL's resources, programs and services for everyone in the family.

May 27: Starting Solids

Gabriella Divito, Registered Dietitian with Alberta Therapy Co

Guiding parents through the fundamentals of starting solid foods with their babies. Covering key topics like readiness to start solids, safe textures, and balanced nutrition to support babies growth and development.

Apr 9: Intimacy Post Birth

Cassandra Kleefman, Registered Psychologist with Transcend Psychological

Cassandra is a Registered Psychologist who specializes in sexual health and intimacy issues. Her niche area of expertise is pelvic floor pain. Her talk will be focused on education around intimacy post-birth and how to connect back to our sexual selves.

Samantha Dover, Registered Psychologist and owner of Dover Psychology and Consulting Ltd.

Many moms report that having babies brought forward their own past traumas. These moms often name being scared of transmitting their hurt and fear to their children. But it is important moms know that we can actually grow and thrive in spite of trauma.

Apr 23: Cesarean Births

Simone Fleet, Physiotherapist with Pine Integrated Health Centre

Simone's talk will cover cesarean births. Understanding the birth itself, recommendations to support recovery, the rehabilitation process and future birth experiences.

Dr. Ariadne (Ariana) Daniel, Physician, Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist, Medical Director of Alberta Reproductive Centre

Everyone is welcome!

Do I need to RSVP?

No, this is a drop-in moms group.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes! Bring your babies and kids. We have toys for your littles to play with.

Do I need to pay?

No, this is a FREE moms group. We're all about building community at The Fourth and keeping this group free allows us to welcome everyone.

What time does it start?

Tuesday moms group starts at 1:00PM. Our guest speaker starts at 1:30PM.

Wednesday moms group starts at 10:00AM. Our guest speaker starts at 10:30AM. The gates are loud when we open at 10:00AM and we recommend waiting by Capital Vision Care until doors are fully open.

Will you post online if I can't make it?

If a guest speaker would like for their talk to be audio recorded, we will be posting on our website. Please note, there will be a delay as we need to edit each audio recording to remove voices not of the speaker and any gaps.

We will no longer be livestreaming our moms group on Instagram. 

Is there a smaller moms group?

We know moms group can get overwhelming. As we open the doors to all moms, we are not able to limit the size of our group.

Do you have other in store events?

Absolutely! We have different events every month. We've had baby lap time, free fitness Fridays, and infant CPR for moms. Other events and workshops include black and white kids photos, floral workshops, calligraphy, watercolour painting, and more! You can learn more about upcoming events at The Fourth here.

Will I be in photos, videos and audio recordings?

Photos, videos and audio recordings may be taken during our moms group and shared on our website, social media and for promotional purposes. Photos and videos are usually focused on the guest speaker and may include the group as a whole. We will be blurring faces of babies and children. Audio recordings will be of the guest speaker and will be edited to the best of our ability to reduce the voices of others. Instagram livestreams focus on the guest speaker, but may include individuals who are seated close to the speaker. Our store is open to photography and at times our guest speaker and moms may take photos and videos during our events and share on social media. Read the full crowd release and disclosure here.
